Chimpanzee Enclosure
Rockhampton's most-loved brothers, Cassie and Ockie the Chimpanzees, are excited to see construction of Rockhampton Zoo's large new chimpanzee enclosure underway.
Rockhampton Regional Council has conducted extensive community consultation to determine the future direction of the Rockhampton Zoo and the new chimpanzee enclosure is one thing that was strongly desired by our community.
The project remains on target to be finished by its original completion date in late October, 2009.
