Wondering what the new building is at the Zoo...?
Well, It's not long now until our group of Lion-Tailed Macaques will be moving into their new home. It has been constructed to resemble the rainforests of the Ghat Mountains of India where these highly endangered monkeys originate. This new enclosure will benefit the monkeys and our visitors alike. While all the monkeys here have been born in zoos, we are sure they will feel right at home.
Rockhampton Zoo is currently undergoing a Major Re-Development for the benefit of our Zoo communities - both the animals and visitors.
